The COVID-19 crisis has upended normal life across the globe. If you are in the process of obtaining genetic counseling licenses, you may have found that the requirements may seem temporarily impossible to complete. Many of the states recognize this and are making modifications to keep the process moving.

Jo Becerra has worked as a genetic counselor since 2009 in both a clinical and laboratory setting. She was inspired to create Elsie when she had over 40 CEU certificates to submit for her recertification and then had to figure out which ones applied to her state license just a few months later. As a working mother of two children and an energetic pup, she may still have trouble keeping track of her busy schedule, but staying licensed and certified is no longer a problem.
