While stay-at-home orders continue, all aspects of our daily and professional lives have changed— licensure included. Due to cancelation of conferences and overall upheaval of … well… everything, some states have made exceptions to renewal requirements in light of the health crisis.

Jo Becerra has worked as a genetic counselor since 2009 in both a clinical and laboratory setting. She was inspired to create Elsie when she had over 40 CEU certificates to submit for her recertification and then had to figure out which ones applied to her state license just a few months later. As a working mother of two children and an energetic pup, she may still have trouble keeping track of her busy schedule, but staying licensed and certified is no longer a problem.
