Mississippi's and Nevada's applications have been released!
Mississippi and Nevada have released their license applications. Here’s what we’ve learned about the process in both states:
Mississippi
DEADLINE: Current Mississippi GCs must submit their application by 1/31/2026

Applications must be submitted online (found here).

The application fee is $257.54 (includes a credit card processing fee).

License verifications may be uploaded after the application is submitted.

Fingerprint-based background check is required ($50 fee).

GCs currently practicing in Mississippi must submit their application by January 31st, 2026.

Licenses will expire 2 years after they are issued. Proof of current ABGC certification may be used in lieu of CEUs.
Nevada
DEADLINE: Grace period until 7/1/2026

Applications (found here) must be notarized and submitted on paper by mail.

The total fee (application fee, plus registration fee, plus background check fee) is $775 until 6/30/2026, and $575 from 7/1/26 - 6/30/27.

Fees must be paid via money order, cashier’s check, or credit card.

An NPDB Self-Query is required (Individual license verifications are not mentioned in the application).

A fingerprint-based background check packet will be mailed out by the board after the application has been received.

Both a transcript and a education verification form from your grad school are required.

Any GC who practices in Nevada prior to January 1, 2026 may continue to do so until July 1st, 2026.

Licenses will expire on June 30th of odd-numbered years and will require 2.0 CEUs (20 hrs) to renew
