Patients, not paperwork
Get Licensed in New States. We'll Handle the Paperwork.
Every state application takes about 8 hours. Multiply that by however many states you need, and you're looking at weeks of forms, portals, phone calls, and follow-ups—all before you see a single patient.
AutoGen does the heavy lifting. You tell us which states you need. We research the requirements, complete the applications, handle the payments to state boards, and follow up until your licenses arrive. You handle the things only you can do—fingerprints, notary, CEUs. We do everything else.
Request an estimate and we'll give you a clear picture of costs for your specific states and situation.
Here's What Happens After You Request an Estimate.
Tell us what you need.
You'll answer a few quick questions—which states, how many licenses, and a couple of details that help us put together an accurate estimate. Takes about 2 minutes.
We send you a clear estimate.
You'll get a detailed breakdown: our fee and the state-specific costs (application fees, background checks, transcript requests). No surprises.
We get to work.
Once you give us the green light, we take over. We complete every application, make every payment, track every status update, and follow up with state boards so you don't have to.
Your licenses arrive.
You're licensed. If you want us to keep an eye on renewals and requirement changes going forward, that's what AutoRenew is for—but that's a separate conversation.
Transparent Pricing. No Guessing.

That's our fee for managing the entire application process for a single state—the research, the paperwork, the payments, the follow-ups, all of it.
On top of our fee, each state has its own costs: application fees, background checks, transcript requests, and occasionally other requirements. These vary by state, which is why we put together a detailed estimate before you commit to anything. You'll know exactly what you're paying and where every dollar goes.
One invoice from us covers everything—our fee plus all the state costs we handle on your behalf. No chasing down a dozen different payment portals.
We'll break down the full cost for your specific states.

Your Time Is Worth More Than This.

your time
A single state application takes roughly 8 hours when you account for the research, the forms, the portal setup, the follow-up calls, and the inevitable "we need one more thing" emails from the state board.
If you're a GC expanding into 20 states, that's 160 hours of your time. If you're an organization onboarding a team of counselors across multiple states, multiply accordingly.
AutoGen costs a fraction of what most practices lose in billable time on a single application—and gives you back days or weeks you'd otherwise spend buried in paperwork.
The question isn't whether you can afford it. It's whether you can afford to keep doing it yourself.

For Individual GCs
You're expanding your practice, picking up telehealth patients in new states, or your employer needs you licensed somewhere new. Either way, you've got applications to deal with and a full caseload that isn't getting any lighter.
Hand us the states. We'll get you licensed. You keep seeing patients.
For Organizations
Every week your GCs spend on licensure paperwork is a week they're not seeing patients. Every delayed application is revenue left on the table and patients who can't be served.
AutoGen gets your team licensed faster. We handle the applications in bulk, centralize the tracking, and give you a single point of contact for the entire process. Your GCs stay focused on clinical work. Your operations team stops juggling state portals.
Testimonials
What Customers Are Saying
“I see co-workers every day complaining about trying to track down state officials to find out what happened to their transcript, or what needs to get notarized, or to figure out what's going on because they submitted their application two months ago and haven't heard anything... I haven't had to worry about any of that, thanks to this service.”
“Without Elsie, HD Genetics would be about many months behind schedule. The paperwork burden between states is no joke and the Elsie team has lived up to every expectation saving us time and keeping us extremely organized.”
“Elsie has not only streamlined multi-state genetic counseling licensure across our large genetic counseling team, but has made us 1000% times more efficient and accessible to more clients across more U.S. states.”
Questions? We've Got Answers.
What exactly does AutoGen cover?
Everything involved in getting you a new state license, from start to finish. We research the requirements, complete the application, handle all payments, follow up with the state board, and track progress until your license is in hand. The only things you do are fingerprints, notary visits, CEUs, and signing documents.
How long does it take to get licensed?
That depends entirely on the state. Some process applications in a few weeks, others take several months. What we control is getting your application submitted correctly and completely the first time—no delays from missing documents or overlooked requirements.
What states do you cover?
All 37 states that require genetic counseling licensure. When a new state adds a licensure requirement, we support it from day one.
How is this different from having someone internal handle it?
Licensure is specialized, time-consuming work. Each state has its own quirks, its own hidden requirements, its own process for follow-ups. We've been doing this for 7 years—over 5,000 licenses across every state. We know the pitfalls. We know which states need extra courses, which ones have unusual documentation requirements, which ones require follow-up calls. An internal person can certainly learn all of this—but we already have.
How do payments work?
We collect the estimated fees upfront—covering our fee plus state board applications, background checks, transcript requests, and any other state-specific costs. We handle all the payments on your behalf. At the end, if there's any difference between the estimate and actual costs, we reconcile it with you. One invoice instead of a dozen different payment portals.
Can you handle a large team all at once?
Yes. We regularly onboard entire teams across multiple states simultaneously. Request an estimate and tell us about your team—we'll put together a plan that accounts for your specific timeline and staffing needs.
What about renewals?
AutoGen is for getting licensed. For staying licensed—tracking renewal deadlines, monitoring requirement changes, handling renewal paperwork—that's AutoRenew, our companion service. We can talk about that once your licenses are in place, or you can ask about it in your estimate request.
Do I have to get on a call?
No. Request an estimate, and we'll send you a detailed breakdown. If your situation is straightforward, you can move forward without ever picking up the phone. If you're an organization with a larger team or more complex needs, we may suggest a quick call—but we'll already have context from your answers, so it's a productive conversation.
