Louisiana and Iowa are Accepting Applications

Louisiana and Iowa have recently started accepting applications for genetic counseling licenses. That brings the total number of US States with licensure up to 24! If you see patients in either of these states (in person or by phone), make sure you stay compliant and get licensed.

To apply in Iowa: https://medicalboard.iowa.gov/genetic-counselors

Both states have been added to Elsie to make renewal tracking easy.

We’ve got our eye on Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii and Michigan, too. They’ve all passed laws but haven’t released applications yet.
