Georgia Now Requires Licensure!

Genetic Counselor licensing became official in the State of Georgia on January 1st, 2020! GCs currently practicing in Georgia will have until February 29th, 2020 to submit their applications for licensure to avoid penalties.

Jo Becerra has worked as a genetic counselor since 2009 in both a clinical and laboratory setting. She was inspired to create Elsie when she had over 40 CEU certificates to submit for her recertification and then had to figure out which ones applied to her state license just a few months later. As a working mother of two children and an energetic pup, she may still have trouble keeping track of her busy schedule, but staying licensed and certified is no longer a problem.
