Elsie gets a makeover
We’ve redesigned the Elsie website because the old one no longer told the whole story.
Seven years ago, Jo and I started Elsie with a simple mission: to make genetic counselor licensure less painful. Since then, the complexity of GC licensure has exploded. The new website is our attempt to make that complexity easier to navigate.
Our new blog covers the latest GC licensure news, along with stories and insights from people in the GC community.
Over 800 genetic counselors subscribe to GC Licensure News, our free monthly newsletter with the latest on GC licensure. Hundreds of GCs visit the Elsie Help Center every month for free, state-specific resources to help you get unstuck—wherever you are in the process.
We’ve learned a lot over the years, and our mission hasn’t changed: make GC licensure as painless as possible. This new website lays the groundwork to make Elsie even more helpful to more people, and we’re excited to keep being a resource for our community.
New pricing
Along with the new site, we’re introducing simpler pricing.
Most of our AutoRenew customers are GCs with licenses in multiple states. We’ve noticed clear patterns in how many licenses people have, so we built three pricing tiers to match. Our new pricing page makes the cost obvious—pick how many licenses you have, and we’ll show you the price. Simple.
And if you’d rather manage licensure yourself, our Exome plan makes it easy to track all your licenses so you never miss a renewal or special requirement.
Elsie subscribers also save $50 per license on AutoGen, our flagship, done-for-you GC licensure service.
We’ve seen firsthand how much grief GC licensure can cause. Too many GCs end up doing this on their own time, on top of the job they were actually hired to do. We hope the new website and pricing give you your time back, instead of another evening lost to licensure bureaucracy.
