As of May 1, 2023, genetic counselors can now apply for licensure in the state of Wisconsin!

Applications are being accepted online here.

The application fee is set at $60. For more information, visit the state’s website.

Jo Becerra has worked as a genetic counselor since 2009 in both a clinical and laboratory setting. She was inspired to create Elsie when she had over 40 CEU certificates to submit for her recertification and then had to figure out which ones applied to her state license just a few months later. As a working mother of two children and an energetic pup, she may still have trouble keeping track of her busy schedule, but staying licensed and certified is no longer a problem.
